Nearer, my  God, to Thee, nearer to Thee! (내 주를 가까이 하게함은)
 E’en though it be a cross that raiseth me,(십자가 짐같은 고생이나) 
Still all my song shall be, nearer, my  God, to Thee.(꿈에도 내 소원 늘 찬송하면)
Nearer, my  God, to Thee, Nearer to Thee! (주께 더 나가기 원합니다!)
 
Though like the wanderer, the sun gone down,(내 고생하는 것 옛 야곱이)
Darkness be over me, my rest a stone.(돌베게 배고 잠 같습니다) 
Yet in my dreams I’d be nearer, my  God, to Thee. (꿈에도 소원이 늘 찬송하면서)
Nearer, my  God, to Thee, Nearer to Thee! (주께 더 나가기 원합니다!) 
There let the way appear, steps unto heav'n;(천생에 가는 길 험하여도) 
All that Thou sendest me, in mercy given;(생명길 되나니 은혜로다) 
Angels to beckon me.(천사 늘 부르니 늘 찬송하면서) 
 Nearer, my  God, to Thee, Nearer to Thee! (주께 더 나가기 원합니다!) 
Or, if on joyful wing cleaving the sky,(야곱이 잠깨어 일어난 후) 
Sun, moon, and stars forgot, upward I’ll fly,(돌단을 쌓은 것 본 받아서) 
Still all my song shall be, nearer, my  God, to Thee.(숨질 때 되도록 늘 찬송하면서) 
Nearer, my  God, to Thee, Nearer to Thee!(주께 더 나가기 원 합니다!)
